Dietetics department of the hospital fulfils the food and diet requirements of the patients. Dieticians play an important role in aiding to treatment and faster recovery of patient. They day to day asses the nutritional requirement of in patients and out patients. In addition, it also caters to employees, relatives of patients’. Hospital kitchen is located away from patient area and traffic flow. Kitchen has different sub- areas like preparation area, cooking area, packing area, washing area. Kitchen has fire extinguisher installed. Kitchen windows have nets and insect trapper is installed to prevent entry of insects. Outsider’s entry is restricted in the kitchen.
