Prof. CM Pandey is currently working as Director (academic and research) at a super specialty cardiac
Institute in Lucknow. He was Professor and Head at Department of Biostatistics and Health Informatics,
Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow. He joined as faculty at this
Department in 1990 and served the Department as Professor and Head till Dec 2018. Prior to this
assignment he worked at Indian Council of Medical Research and Banaras Hindu University Varanasi. He
obtained MSc and PhD in Statistics from Banaras Hindu University in the area of Stochastic Models for
Human Reproduction in 1985 and received advanced training in Biostatistical Methods and Statistical
computing from Department of Mathematics, United Nations International Centre for Theoretical
Physics (ICTP) Trieste, Italy. He received fellowship of International Statistical Institute in 2001. He was
elected Fellow of Indian Society for Medical Statistics (FSMS) in the year 2009 and served as President
of Indian Society for Medical Statistics during 2016-2018. He has been elected as President Elect of
International Epidemiological Association (IEA) for the term 2017-21 and President of IEA for the term
2021-24
